MODEST is affiliated with several state and national recognized organizations that advocates and promotes the safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the New York State.
The New York State Office For People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
MODEST collaboration with the New York State Office For People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is on-going and the Agency’s reputation as a provider of comprehensive services to the people it serves continue to be strengthened.
New York State Association of Day Service Providers (NYSADSP)
MODEST is a member of NYSADSP a statewide association that provides its members with current technological, programmatic and regulatory information, education, training, technical assistance and the opportunity to advocate, network and collaborate on issues with other members.
Consumer Advisory Board (CAB)
MODEST collaborates with the Consumer Advisory Board, a statewide advocacy agency to ensure that the rights of members of the Willowbrook class permanent injunction are upheld at all times.
Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Council (SIDDC)
MODEST is member of SIDDC that assists in the planning, promotion and development of services for people who have Developmental Disabilities and their family members in Staten Island. The Council is a consortium of persons with Developmental Disabilities, family members, service providers, and interested individuals who provide information about and assistance to people with Developmental Disabilities and their families.
New York City Department of Education (The Richard H. Hungerford School)
MODEST is partnering with The Richard H. Hungerford School to have its students that participates in the Senior Year Bridge Program to visit MODEST’s Blended Day Program once a week where they take part in day habilitation activities. This allows the students and their families to make an informed decision as to what day program they would like to attend upon graduation.
New York Association of Emerging and Multicultural Providers, Inc. (NYAEMP)
MODEST is a member of NYAEMP a statewide association that provides its members with current programmatic and regulatory information, training, collaboration and networking among its members on various issues.
